1,126,508. Treated waxes; rubber compositions. DEUTSCHE ERDOL-A.G. 9 Feb., 1967 [15 March, 1966], No. 6191/67. Heading C3Q. [Also in Division C5] A light-stabilizing additive for vulcanized rubber comprises a particulate wax predominating in isoparaffins and/or cycloparaffins, each individual particle being enveloped by a powdered filler. Suitable fillers are carbon black, magnesium carbonate, chalk, kaolin, talc, calcium silicate, barytes, kieselguhr, lithopone, zinc oxide, silica or preferably zinc silicate. The filler may constitute 10-50% and the wax 90- 50% by weight of the composite particles.
