Abstract

1351005 Road paving compositions JAPANESE GEON CO Ltd 5 Aug 1971 [6 Aug 1970 24 Oct 1970] 36844/71 Headings C3N C3P and C3R Road paving compositions comprise (1) aggregate, (2) synthetic resin particles having a maximum diameter of 1 to 20 mm. and (3) a binder which is bituminous material or a petroleum resin. The synthetic resin may be polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene or a vinyl chloride, ABS, methacrylic, melamine, phenolic, urea or unsaturated polyester resin, optionally coloured, and may be in the form of pellets or crushed scrap. The bituminous material may be tar or asphalt. Examples describe compositions of aggregate, asphalt and (1) ABS resin, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene or polypropylene; (2) polypropylene; and (3) vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer; and of aggregate, petroleum resin and (4) polyvinyl chloride, phenolic resin or ABS resin.
