A bracing member for pillars 1 of a shelving structure, sales stand or room divider comprises a rectangular, rigid frame 3 with U-section sides which receive elements 5 carrying hooks 4 for engagement in openings 2 in the pillars 1, each element 5 having a threaded bore engaged by a screw 6 which is tightened to draw in the element 5 and hooks 4 so that the hooks 4 are clamped against the pillar 1. The frame 3 may form a part of a box-like container.
