Abstract

1,152,931. Container closures; opening containers. SOC. D'APPLICATIONS TECHNIQUES ET INDUSTRIELLES S.A. 9 May, 1967 [10 May, 1966], No. 21544/67. Headings B8D and B8T. A perforator cap 11 includes a deformable membrane 12 which carries an element 14 for puncturing a diaphragm 15 covering a container mouth. Initially, the membrane is in a stable convex position as shown in Fig. 1. When it is pushed downwards, the membrane assumes a stable concave position, Fig. 2 (not shown), and the element 14 pierces the diaphragm 15. In subsequent use, the element 14 provides a closure for the aperture produced. In a modification Fig. 5 (not shown), the perforating element is provided with a distribution passage for the contacts of the container.
