Abstract

961,604. Stoppers. SECIVEN SOC. D'EXPLOITATION DE CHIMIE INDUSTRIELLE VOITURIEZ & NORMAND. Sept. 14, 1961 [Oct. 24, 1960], No. 33030/61. Heading B8T. A container comprises a hollow body 1, e.g. of aluminium, whose mouth 2 is closed by a membrane 3 of e.g. plastics or aluminium sheet material and by a packing 5, and a resilient plastics stopper 6 to seal an aperture 8 made in the membrane (see Fig. 1), or in the packing (see Fig. 4). The stopper may be internally screw - threaded, Figs. 1, 4, or may be integral with the membrane and packing, and a cap 7 may cover the entire closure. A sharp metal collar 9 may be provided, Fig. 3, to make the aperture in the membrane 3 when the stopper 6 is urged downwards.
