A corrosion resistant alloy comprises:- B 1 - 5% C 0À06 - 0À6% Cr 11 - 26% Cu 0À8 - 4À5% or Mo 0À02 - 8% Fe 0 - 7% Mn up to 0À3% Si 3 - 5% the balance, apart from impurities, being nickel. In a modification of the alloy Cu in the range 1À4 - 1À8% and/or Mo in the range 1À5 - 3À5% may be included therein. The alloys may be applied as coatings by spraying and are resistant to acid corrosion.
