1,149,089. Magnetic chucks. PRESSED STEEL FISHER Ltd. 27 Dec., 1967 [30 Sept., 1966], No. 43887/66. Heading H1P. A workpiece is mounted on a magnetic chuck using two steel chuck blocks each having a lower crenellated face so that the block may be placed on the chuck with the crenellations spanning the space between poles of like polarity. The upper surface of the blocks may be parallel to lower face, disposed at an angle or have a V-slot.
