973,252. Base plates for pit props. STAMICARBON N.V. Dec. 18, 1961 [Dec. 16, 1960], No. 45378/61. Heading E1E. A base plate 1 has at least two means 9 for locating pit props at different angles thereon and an upstanding face 3 to accommodate the thrust member of a conveyer or driving gear, see Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown). The base plate consists of plates 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 20 which are welded together as shown and provided with side handles 13, a projecting ledge 5 and a strip 21 for restricting upward movement of a buffer beam.
