Abstract

1,147,901. Automatic control of current and voltage. CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED. May 19, 1966 [May 19, 1965], No.22350/66. Heading G3R. A voltage stabilizer comprises input terminals 11, 12, output terminals 13, 14 and a series valve 20 controlled in known manner by an error amplifier which includes triodes 21, 21, representing a double-triode, associated with a reference glow discharge tube 22 and which is responsive to output voltage variations as detected by a voltage divider 4, 5, 6, the error amplifier being also associated with an RC circuit 8, 9, 10 connected across terminals 11 and 12. Variations in the input voltage cause changes in the voltage applied to the heaters of the valves in the amplifier, and the Specification shows how the RC circuit 8, 9, 10, compensates for the effect of such changes whereby a more stable operation of the amplifier is obtained. A similar compensation circuit may be employed with a current stabilizer of the series valve type.
