Abstract

1,249,442. Automatic voltage control. HITACHI Ltd. March 11, 1970 [March 12, 1969], No.11740/70. Heading G3R. A D. C. voltage regulator of the type comprising a transistor Q1 connected between a power source 2 and a load 8 and controlled by a comparator circuit 1 through an amplifier transistor Q2, is provided with a resistor R5 having a postive temperature coefficient which supplies starting current to the transistor Q1 when a switch 4 is closed to produce an output voltage from the source 2 and which changes to its high resistance state when normal operation of the regulator is achieved, so that this operation is not affected by the resistor R5 and is obtained over substantially the whole range of load current, Fig. 2 (not shown).
