Heading E1N A composite door body comprises a door panel 102 surrounded by a metal frame e.g. alumminium constituted by two rails 112, 114, and two stiles 104, each of the two rails 112, 114 being diecast and having integral tongues 56, Fig. 4, those on the same side of the frame extending towards each other, as shown in broken lines on the left or right hand side of Fig. 8, the stiles 104 being extruded of uniform section 28, Fig. 7, and having channels 90, 92 extending longitudinally of the stiles to receive the flanges 62, 64 of tongues 56. The stiles have additional channels to receive fasteners for a panel 102, Fig. 8. The tongues have serrations 70 which engage in the channels and are deformed when the frame members are assembled. One rail has means (40, Fig. 2) for the fixing of hinges and are constituted by bosses (40), bosses or stops 134 on the frame members which the decorative strips 110 can abut to maintain the strips relative to the frame. The panel may relative to the frame by bosses on the rails. In a modification (Figs 14 and 17, not shown) the corner pieces are separate also from the rails as well as from the stiles and connect therewith by tongues integral with the corner pieces.
