Abstract

1,141,941. Bolted joints. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. 16 Feb., 1966, No. 6769/66. Heading F2H. [Also in Division A1] A releasable joint between two beams 1 and 2 of rectangular cross-section, e.g. in the frame of a plough, comprises four rigid attachment members 3 fitted in each corner of the beam 2 to be inserted into the corners of the beam 1, at least one pair of holes in the beam 1 to accommodate bolts 7, the bolts having frustoconical heads 8 of a dimension greater than the space between each pair of members 3, and nuts 9 which, when they are tightened, force the members 3 into the corners of the beam 1. A plough 10 has plough bodies 11 and 12 and a further plough body 14 fitted by the releasable joint.
