Abstract

The chassis has a tapered section formed from two shafts bolted together at the front with gussets. This section carries the hitch assembly and attaches to the main frame with gussets. The two longitudinal members of the main frame are joined at their back ends by a transverse bar welded to them. Each longitudinal is in two sections which bolt together between the two axles. The position of the joint is chosen to make the dismantled chassis occupy the min. possible space.
