Abstract

1,141,883. Valves. ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS Ltd. 17 May, 1967 [17 May, 1966], No. 21899/66. Heading F2V. A pinch-cock has a pressure member 21 connected to a lever 15 pivoted at 19 and acted on by cam 28, the connection being adjustable to vary the flow through a tube 12 for a given lever movement. The adjustment is made by screw 26 which engages threads in block 18, secured to lever 15, to vary the eccentricity of member 21. If the tube 12 becomes blocked, pulling the lever 15 against its spring 23 exposes the full bore of the tube to the line pressure and the obstruction is blown clear. Two or more pinch-cocks may be placed side by side using different or identical cams on the shaft 29 of a motor which is programmed to dispense fluids in predetermined ratios. In a modification (not shown) the lever is moved by pegs or rollers carried by a rotatable disc.
