Abstract
1,141,468. Spray carburetters. BENDIX CORP. Feb. 15, 1966 [April 9, 1965], No. 15172/65. Heading F1B. In a constant suction carburetter, the fuel-air ratio is adjusted in accordance with temperature at idling or slow running conditions by a temperature responsive device 40 which opens the air valve 26 slightly as temperature increases. The device 40 comprises a bi-metallic ring or strip situated between the piston 26 and its casing. In Fig. 5 (not shown) the piston position is adjusted by a bellows type thermostat (48) and in Fig. 6 a bi-metallic spring 60 controlling a stop 54 for the piston 26d has an abutment 57 adjusted by a lever 63 connected to the throttle valve.
