Abstract

1,139,409. Textile treating apparatus. CILANDER A.G. 18 Dec., 1967 [2 Jan., 1967], No. 57399/67. Heading D1L. A fabric B is fed under a roller 3 having salient parts 6 parallel to its axis of rotation and thus forms folds when it moves the roller under the influence of fluid flowing from within the roller (which is perforated) as the relevant part of its periphery leaves the surface of fluid bath 2. The fabric thus does not crease in its passage in the bath and is transported and removed from the bath under negligible tension. Take up rollers 8 also remove surplus fluid. A spray bar 15 may have fluid from the bath recirculated thereto.
