Abstract

1,139,178. Fire escape means for use at windows. J. H. ADAMSON. 12 Dec., 1967 [12 Dec., 1966], No. 55631/66. Heading A5A. A window drape or curtain installation which converts to a fire escape comprises a strip 1 of high tensile, non-flammable material suspended in loops by resilent releasable hangers 4 from a rail 3 above the window, and anchored at one end by wall bracket 2, which in an emergency can be pulled from the rail and cast out of the window to provide an anchored means of descent.
