A combined curtain suspension fitting and lamp or translucent screen has a channel-shaped element 1 with two downwardly extending walls 2, 3 secured to the ceiling by bolts passing through its horizontal web 4, a curtain rail 6 being secured by welding, rivetting or the like to the edge of wall 2 and a fitting 9 being mounted on wall 3 to support a tubular fluorescent lamp 10 whilst a translucent curved screen 11 is secured to the edge of an outwardly directed flange formed on the lower edge of the wall 3.
