1,139,073. Washing machines. PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN N.V. 13 Jan., 1966 [15 Jan., 1965], No. 1656/66. Heading D1A. In a washing machine having a horizontal rotary drum 7 within a tub 3, the water is supplied from a line 2 through an aperture 6 of a hollow journal 5 of the drum which is supported by an open-topped half-bearing 1 integral with or attached to the tub 3. The bearing may be of metal or a polyamide. A filter or grating 9 may be provided and a rubber nozzle may project from the line 2 through the journal 5.
