Abstract

1,170,938. Treating textile material. REGGIANI S.p.A. 7 Dec., 1966 [10 Dec., 1965], No. 54857/66. Heading D1L. A continuous length of material is passed in zig-zag fashion around rotating cylindrical rollers 7 and idly mounted polygonal rollers 10 alternately such that between the rollers material is inclined to the horizontal at an angle α of 50-80‹ and the enforced rotation of rollers 10 imparts vibration to the fabric, treating liquid being sprayed by sprayers 11 in a film on the material and any liquid not absorbed collecting in well 5. The support and bearings of rollers 10 are clear of the liquid to prevent corrosion of the treating liquid. Rollers 8 resting on rollers 7 squeezingly align the material. The sprayers 11 are fed either with fresh treating liquid, or with liquid recycled through a filter 19 from the well. The machine may be connected to other similar machines.
