1,068,858. Textile treating apparatus. Y. YAMANAKA. Dec. 28, 1964, No. 52568/64. Heading D1L. Apparatus for dyeing or washing cloth comprises a rotor, having a plurality of outwardly convex lobes 2, mounted coaxially with a stationary perforated cylinder 3, the apices of the lobes contacting the inner surface of the cylinder, and guide rollers 8 passing the cloth 7 around the cylinder; the arrangement being such that on rotation of the rotor relative to the cylinder, the surface A of each lobe forces liquid from the inside of the cylinder through the perforations and into the cloth, while the surface B creates a partial vacuum on the inside of the cylinder 3 and draws the liquid out of the cloth, see Fig. 4 (not shown).
