Abstract
1,138,928. Refrigerating. G. MAMIYA. 14 July, 1967 [15 July, 1966], No. 32621/67. Heading F4H. Absorbent solution passing from the absorber 10 to the generator 11 through line 15, 17 is adiabatically expanded through a capillary tube or expansion valve 18. It is stated that the thus reduced pressure of the incoming solution enables a heating medium of relatively low temperature to be used in the generator coil 19. Air or water may be cooled by passage through a heat exchange coil 30 in the evaporator 13 and the pressure in the evaporator/absorber shell is maintained at a predetermined low value by a vacuum pump 32.
