Abstract

1331732 Refrigerating G MAMIYA 24 Sept 1971 [25 Sept 1970] 44661/71 Heading F4H Absorption refrigeration apparatus comprises an evaporator 13, an absorber 15, a condenser 12 and a plurality of generator units 1-6 wherein refrigerant vapour generated in one generator unit is passed through a heating coil 7-11 of another generator unit to heat a concentrated refrigeration solution thereby to produce a refrigerant vapour (exiting generator 1 by conduit 21) and a comparatively dilute refrigerant solution (exiting generator 1 by conduit 19) in the other regenerator unit. Condensed refrigerant vapour is passed to the evaporator 13 from which refrigerant vapour is passed to the absorber 15 where it is combined with dilute refrigerant solution to form a concentrated refrigerant solution for recycling to the generator units. Preferably the refrigerant material is water and the refrigerant solution is a water-lithium bromide solution.
