Abstract

1,138,650. Suction cleaners. ETABS. GEORGES OLIVIER. 29 Sept., 1967 [29 Sept., 1966], No. 44490/67. Heading A4F. A suction cleaner nozzle has a body 1 having at least one carrying wheel 4 mounted on an axle 3, the body 1 being connectable by a connecting piece 2 to a suction conduit (not shown) and being mounted for limited rotation about the axis of the axle 3 whilst the suction passage 1a therein remains in communication with the connecting piece 2. The lower face of the nozzle body 1 is formed with a suction chamber 5 having a mouth of substantially plane outline formed by a continuous bead having forwardly directed undulations 5a (Fig. 1, not shown) and a straight rear portion 5c. The nozzle body 1 may be locked in a desired angular position relative to the connecting piece 2 by a pin 8 mounted in the latter and adapted to be engaged in one of a number of apertures 9 in the body 1.
