Abstract

909,920. Suction cleaner nozzles. ELECTROLUX Ltd. Feb. 20, 1959 [Feb. 22, 1958], No. 5910/59. Class 8(1). A suction cleaner nozzle body 10, Fig. 1, has an aperture 63 which during forward movement of the nozzle is covered by a valve member 65 to which is attached the suction conduit 61 and on rearward movement, is uncovered thereby, as shown in Fig. 2 allowing the main suction inlet 24 to be by-passed and said rearward movement to be effected more easily. The valve is biased to its closed position by a spring 67 which is collapsed during the rearward movement of the nozzle.
