Abstract

1,137,049. Thermal switches. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 4 Dec., 1967, No. 55103/67. Addition to 194,338. Heading H1N. The temperature responsive switch of Specification 1,094,338 is modified so that the temperature responsive means 2c produces insufficient movement of the pivoted latch 8 to release the rack member 9 from its highest temperature setting position when the selected temperature is reached (i.e. from the " BOIL " position when controlling a clothes washing machine), in which highest setting position a projection 8a of lever 8 engages tooth 9d of rack member 9. The switch is manually restorable to " OFF " position from all its "ON" positions (see also Figs. 1, 3, 4, not shown).
