Piston; connecting- rods.-An aluminium or like piston for an aeroplane or like engine is strengthened by an internal structure of steel &c. which is secured in position during casting and comprises an end disk a, which may be perforated and is connected by rods or tubes c, f to blocks c, d, which are afterwards bored to form the bearings of the gudgeon pin. The disk a and blocks c, d are formed with positioning-pegs a<2>.
