Abstract

1,135,869. Carburetters. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES. May 2, 1967 [June 11, 1966; July 25, 1966], No. 20195/67. Heading F1B. In a carburetter comprising an accelerator pump i.e. a device in the form of a variable volume chamber 9 connected via an inlet valve 19 to a fuel supply and via a delivery valve 11 to the carburetter inlet passage 1, the chamber being bounded by a moving or deformable member 13 adapted to diminish its volume when the conventional throttle element 4 is opened, the inlet valve 19 takes the form of a float which co-operates with a seat 21 disposed above the float and at the top of such chamber as shown the constant level chamber 6 is connected to the accelerator pump passage via a restricted orifice 25. The top part of the float may resemble a part spherical member. The float may be made of plastic material.
