Abstract
1,135,665. Atomizing oil burners. H. BOOS. 17 March, 1966 [20 March, 1965], No. 11784/66. Heading F4T. An atomizing oil burner arrangement comprises an air tube 2 concentrically surrounding an atomizing nozzle 1 inserted in a fire-box wall 5, the tube 2 being contracted at its outlet end, and surrounded by a suction tube 4 which at one end is tapered around the flame core 3, and at the other end communicates with the interior of the fire-box near the fire-box wall. The suction tube 4 directs partially combusted air/oil mixture from around the fire-box wall back into the combustion zone. A plurality of parallel suction tubes, one surrounding another, may replace the single suction tube 4.
