Abstract

1,134,507. Laminates. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP. 8 March, 1966 [25 March, 1965], No. 10024/66. Heading B5N. [Also in Divisions G4 and H1] A laminate comprises a first lower substrate of copper-clad glass or paper-filled epoxy laminate, a second layer of polyethylene terephthalate deposited on the substrate, a third layer of polyethylene terephthalate-copper laminate, and a fourth elastomeric layer, e.g. of neoprene, " Hypalon " (Registered Trade Mark), " Viton " (Registered Trade Mark) film rubber, or a urethane synthetic rubber. A layer of silicon grease may be provided between the third and fourth layers. The first substrate has gold plated on its upper surface, and the third layer either has gold coated on its lower surface or may itself comprise a gold layer. The laminate can be formed by any thin film technique, e.g. photo-etching.
