Abstract
1277887 Injection moulding STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 18 Sept 1969 [23 Sept 1968] 45089/68 Heading B5A [Also in Divisions F2 H1 and H4] An array of push-buttons A are interconnected by flexible connecting strips B which are formed integrally with a surrounding frame C. Each connecting strip B is so formed that it acts as a return spring for the push-buttons and also allows only negligible movement of one button when an adjacent button is depressed. Preferably the array is injection moulded from polypropylene with the connecting strips serving as feeds and the button markings incorporated in the button caps during moulding. Alternatively the markings may be carried on plastics caps which fit over the buttons. The array may be used in a telephone set where operation of a button closes a switch contact to generate a signalling code. The frame C may be extended to form a box for housing these components.
