Abstract

In a pillar-type electric terminal 1, having a lateral clamping screw 5, the bore 2 is formed with a helical thread 3, the crests of the helix penetrating the oxide film of an aluminium conductor inserted in the bore. The crests may be flattened (Fig. 2, not shown), and the bore may have annular ribs (9, Fig. 3, not shown).
