Abstract

1,133,404. Infants panties. W. W. ARTZT. 19 May, 1967 [22 March, 1967], No. 23370/67. Heading A3V. In an infant's waterproof panty formed from a thin thermoplastic sheet folded at 14 upon itself and heat sealed at the side edges 16, 18, arcuate portions 26 are provided at the ends of the leg openings to resist tearing of the panty. The waist portion may be hemmed at 132 to receive a draw string 134. The panties may be made by longitudinally folding a continuous web upon itself, which is cut along the lines 16, 18, 20, 22, the side edges 16, 18 being simultaneously heat sealed.
