Abstract
1,133,186. Valves. I. PELLIZZETTI. 6 July, 1967 [17 Nov., 1966], No. 31254/67. Heading F2V. A valve 4 in the suction line of a refrigeration system is arranged to close when the high side pressure exceeds a predetermined value. The valve member 6 is connected to a piston 12 which is urged to the right by a spring 9 and to the left by the pressure in a chamber 13 which communicates with the compressor discharge line through line 14. A passage 15 in the valve seat 7 ensures that a small amount of refrigerant flows from the valve inlet 5A to the outlet 5B when valve member 6 is in its closed position. The system is used for air conditioning in a vehicle.
