Abstract

A louvre window has a frame comprising side, top and bottom members of U- formed channelling (zinc coated steel, oxidized aluminium) and having an extension of fin 7 from one of the legs of the U and depending from the base thereof and adapted to form a surround for attachment of the window in position on a support 8, the louvres, shown as of S form being of transparent or translucent reinforced fibre glass or plastics material, being fixed as by bolts or riveting 6 at their ends between the inside faces of the side members. The top and bottom members are provided with channels 9 for the reception of selftapping screws passing through the side members to secure the side and top and bottom members together. The bottom member 3 has a slant towards the outside for the rain to drip outwards.
