Abstract

1433405 Ventilators METAALINDUSTRIE HEYCOP BV 20 June 1973 [22 June 1972] 29378/73 Heading F4V A ventilator assembly comprises a hit and miss arrangement in the form of a fixed plate 2 having a plurality of vertical slits, and a sliding plate 4 having corresponding vertical slits. The assembly is secured in a window frame by a plurality of securing members spaced longitudinally of the plate 2. The plate 2 includes projections 2a, 2b at its longitudinal edges which hold the slide plate 4 and afford a snap connection with oppositely directed end flanges 7a and 7b of the securing members 7. The end flanges 7a and 7b have oppositely opening slots 7c and 7d for receiving the window frame members 8 and 9. The number of securing members is determined by the length of the ventilator. The members 7 are also secured to supports 11 by means of mortice and tenon joints. Slots 13a, 13b are arranged on the support member to screen the ventilator. An operating handle may be provided for the sliding plate 4 (Fig. 4, not shown) utilizing a Bowden cable. The edge slits in plate 2 may be covered by a cover plate (also Fig. 4).
