An electrical connector comprises a length of coiled spring electrically conducting wire 10, having two adjacent turns 11, 12, sprung apart so that in order to attach a conductor 13 to the connector, the conductor is placed between the sprung turns 11, 12 and the connector twisted until the conductor 13 is held between two unsprung turns. The sprung turns may be any two in the spring. The spring may be attached to a wire conductor at the end remote from the sprung-apart turns 11, 12, or it may be connected to an apertured conductive block with a clamp screw for fixing to a conductor. In either case an insulating sheath may be provided. The spring may be electroplated, e.g. with gold, to improve its conductivity.
