Abstract

1,130,471. Combs. W. NOWOCZIN. 28 Oct., 1966 [4 Nov., 1965], No. 48571/66. Heading A4V. A comb for use in hair waving or wigmaking incorporates an elongated pin member 6 telescopically housed in a sleeve like housing 1 within the comb spine so as to be projectable through an open end of the spine housing into a working position in prolongation of the spine, wherein a spring influenced plunger 3 is arranged for lengthwise reciprocation in the spine housing and has one end provided with spring jaw means 2<SP>1</SP> through which the pin member extends, the jaw means being pressed into gripping relationship with the pin member, to hold the latter against telescoping movement by the action of a plunger spring 4 and being releasable by depression of the plunger against the spring action whereby the jaws are moved clear of the confining throat and the pin member is released.
