Abstract
1,125,402. Coating by hot dipping. ALLIED TUBE & CONDUIT CORP. Jan. 4, 1966, No.348/66. Heading C7F. A strip, e. g. a steel tube, is coated with e. g. Zn by passing it through a trough 28 which is fed with molten metal from a bath 16 by a pump 40. The bath 16 has a hood 22 spaced at one end from the bath to allow fresh metal 45 to be fed to the bath. An inert or non-oxidizing gas is fed to the hood 22.
