112,532. Watson, E. A., and M.-L. Magneto Syndicate. Feb. 1, 1917. Magneto-electric machines. - In ignition magnetos for internal-combustion engines, pole-piece laminations and the end plates f thereof are located between parallel projections b, c extending from one of the end covers a and are secured to the extensions and the end cover respectively by screws g, e. The extension b is formed as a tunnel to accommodate the distributor spindle h, and the end of the tunnel is covered by the brush-holder k. The opposite end cover o is recessed to engage spigots n formed on the end plates of the pole-pieces, whereby the flanges i of the slip-ring structure may bo of greater diameter than the armature m.
