Abstract
A printing plate comprises a layer of zinc alloy metallurgically bonded to a layer of aluminium. The zinc alloy consists of 0.10-0.20% by weight of aluminium, 0.03-0.05% magnesium, cadmium, iron and lead impurities, none of which exceed 0.003% each, and the balance zinc. The aluminium may be an alloy which includes between 0.1 and 0.15% by weight of manganese, maxima of 0.6% silicon, 0.7% iron, 0.1% zinc, 0.2% copper, 0.15% of other metals, and the balance aluminium.
