Abstract

112,364. Rutter, J. M. April 27, 1917 Addition to 17829/15. Cooking-ranges; canopies.-In a modification of the stoves described in the parent Specification and Specification 106,015, an auxiliary boiler d<1> is fitted either under or over the ovens D. The stoking-door g<4> of the " boot " boiler F is enclosed by a canopy or cover g<5>, through which smoke escaping past the edges of the door finds its way, by means of a short flue k<1>, to the chimney. The canopy may be hinged at its top edge, as shown, or on one side, and has a bottom end plate g<8>, and may have also a hit-and-miss air-inlet regulator g<7>, which, in conjunction with the door g<4>, or with other means, may be used to regulate the draught through the boiler.
