1,119,872. Transfer gearing. DAVID BROWN GEAR INDUSTRIES Ltd. 8 March, 1967 [12 March, 1966], No. 10973/66. Heading B7H. [Also in Division F2] Transfer gearing for a vehicle having two drivable axles, including .an output shaft 13 coaxial with an input shaft 12, and an idler shaft 14 and a second output .shaft 15 both parallel to shafts 12, 13, gives reduced drive to both output shafts for " off-highway " use, and direct drive to shaft 13 only, for " on-highway " use. Shafts 13, 15 may be connected to the two rear axles of a vehicle, or to the rear and front axles of a four-wheeled vehicle, in the latter case the shaft 15 having an extension 115 projecting from the opposite side of the gearbox to the shaft 13.
