Abstract

1,115,806. Reinforcement spacers. F. W. BERRY. 5 April, 1967 [15 April, 1966], No. 16720/66. Heading E1W, A synthetic plastics spacer for concrete reinforcements comprises a reinforcement receiving saddle portion 1 integral with the elements 2, 4 of a framework base portion having interruptions, formed for example by recesses 6, along the edge on which the spacer is intended to rest. The saddle portion 1 may be apertured at 7 and the element 4 recessed at 8. The spacer may be attached to the reinforcement by a length of wire, or a spring wire clip hinged to one side of the saddle portion 1 and engageable with a notch or notches or a pro jection or projections on the other side of the saddle portion.
