Abstract

1368986 Gratings E ARENS 19 Nov 1971 [16 March 1971] 53748/71 Heading D1K [Also in Divisions A4 and El] A grating comprises spaced parallel members 2 with upstanding projections 4 which fit into slots 3 in a second series of parallel members 1 perpendicular to the first when slid into these slots from their ends to lock the members together. Members 1 and 2 may be of rubber or plastics and the grating may be capable of being rolled up. Members 2 may have slots into which reinforcements 6 of hard plastics, hard rubber or metal may be slid. The members may be of rectangular section, Fig. 4 (not shown) and reinforcement 6 may be of various cross sections Figs. 5, 6 and 8 (not shown). Members 2 may be moulded, Fig. 9, with L cross-section slots 12. In a further arrangement, Fig. 12 members 2 are made up of members carrying elements 4 and spacers 15 both having slots on their under sides and being threaded on to a reinforcement.
