Abstract

The framework assembly for shelving has a structural element (6) joined by traverse pieces. The structural element is a hollow rectangular or square section. This is open along one face and in which are openings (3) formed by bending parts (9) back. These openings house the ends of the traverse pieces (4). The traverse pieces (4) have bent up ends (5). The bent pieces (11) have lugs (8). These slide into and lock in the openings in the structural element (6). The parts are dimensioned so that, on assembly, a small amount of elastic deformation takes place.
