Abstract

1,111,458. Electromagnetic relays. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION. 6 Aug., 1965 [13 Aug., 1964], No. 33801/65. Heading H1N. At least two sealed magnetic reed contact units 2 are mounted in longitudinal recesses of an insulating spacer 1 and the spacer and tubes of the contact units are covered with a thin layer 5 of insulation on which the coil 6 is wound. The spacer provides end checks for the coil. The tubes of the contact units and the insulating spacer thus provide a rigid former for the winding. Relays having three and four contact units within the coil are disclosed. The thin layer of insulation can dispensed with.
