Abstract
1,107,361. Removing condensation from sashes. VICTOR STURMAN Ltd. 26 Nov., 1964 [26 Aug., 1963], No. 9929/63. Heading B1R. Means for conducting away condensation water from the interior surface of a window pane or other panel comprises an extruded metal or plastics elongated member 10 &c and having a profile solid support 16 for the pane 20 &c and a longitudinally extending channel 19 on one side of the support 16 formed by a rear wall 12 and the rear face 17 of the support 16 the base 11 of which is elevated at the rear end by a rib 23. The rear wall 12 extends above the support 16 and has a flange 13 near the top of the wall to abut the pane 20 and has spaced grooves 14 to allow condensation water to pass to the channel 19 from whence it is conducted away through holes 22 to the exterior. The members 10 may be secured by screws &c passing through the rear wall 12, or through a horizontal rearward flange provided at the upper end of wall 10 or an inverted channel provided at the top of wall 12. Additionally or alternatively the member 20 may be secured by a sharp edge on the rib 23 digging into the wooden frame 24. Modifications of Fig. 1 for use with metal frames carrying the glass are described.
