888,229. Doors; windows. ELLIOTT BERESFORD & SON Ltd. May 9, 1958 [May 10, 1957], No. 14989/57. Class 20(3) The sliding door or window 20 of Specification 789,460 is slung from removable runners 23 moving in a track 24 located in a recess in the frame head, and its lower edge embraces a guide member 27 of approximately the width of the door opening and which is secured to the frame sill so as to lie within the door housing. Thus the frame is designed so that the sill may be flush with the floor. The shutting edge of the door is in the form of a removably strip 30 engaging a recess 31 in the frame upright. The invention is also applied to a pair of sliding doors or windows (Fig. 3, not shown).
