824,580. Windows. QUICKTHO (1928) Ltd. Feb. 12, 1958 [Aug. 28, 1957], No. 27121/57. Class 20(3) A sash slides horizontally on a runner 4 by the provision of a channel section on its underside, preferably provided with rollers 16, and is weatherproofed by the provision of an additional limb 13 forming a channel section 15 which engages over a weather bar 7, the space between the runner 4 and the weather bar 7 being drained to the outside of the window frame. The channel 15 is preferably lined with felt. The invention is applied to the inner sash of a pair, the outer sash sliding on runner 5 with the limb 12 extended downwardly and edged with felt. The weather bar may be provided along the vertical sides of the window frame and the space between the weather bar 7 and the runner 5 is also drained to the outside of the window.
